Meet the Choir
Suantraí are Aisling, Bríd, Claire, Jennifer, Jenny, Kerry, Orla, Orlaith, Sarah and Susan.
The members of Suantraí have been immersed in music all their lives. They met in childhood as members of a Dublin-based female voice choir, where they were introduced to and excelled at close-harmony vocal performance.
Since moving on from these auspicious beginnings, the vocalists in Suantraí have continued to develop their musical careers, receiving intensive vocal training from such luminaries of the Irish music scene as Veronica Dunne, Evelyn Dowling and Suzanne Murphy. They have performed regularly at religious occasions, choral competitions, on stage and screen as members of a myriad of well-known choirs and musical societies, including Cantando, The Rathmines and Rathgar Musical Society and Opera Ireland. As Suantraí, they have sung at weddings and corporate events the length and breadth of Ireland, and have given their time to raise funds for charities such as the Chernobyl Children's Project. The group's members have been singing together for 20 years, and are looking forward to the next 20 and beyond!
